Dr. Tom O’Neil
Dr. Thomas O’Neil is a graduate of Columbia University Dental School in New York City and The Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). He completed a residency at Peninsula Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY, where he met his wife, Chris, a dental hygienist.
After spending 14 years with his New York practice, Dr. O'Neil and family relocated to Florida In preference to warmer weather. He opened his office in the Professional Center at Woodmont in Tamarac, FL. Here he has established a practice of General, Cosmetic and Sedation Dentistry.
Born in Bellerose, Queens, Dr. O’Neil’s part-time jobs during his High School and College years include golf caddy, New York City taxi driver, gas station attendant, movie theater usher and hospital orderly. Dr. O’Neil’s dad is a retired NYC policeman and his wife, Chris, graduated from SUNY at Farmingdale’s Dental Hygiene School and is a native of Peekskill, NY.
In his continuing education, Dr. O’Neil has completed courses in Dental Cosmetics, Cardiac Life Support, Conscious Sedation Dentistry and has a Florida IV Sedation permit. His memberships include the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, The American Dental Association, International Association of Oral Medicine & Toxicology, Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, and Broward County Dental Association. His pleasures include spending time with his family and boating. He and his wife, Chris, have been married for 27 years and have two daughters ages 14 and 24.
Dr. O'Neil and his staff continue their education process by attending courses to keep them informed and current. On a continuous basis, he masters the most modern technologies and techniques in cosmetic, family, and sedation dentistry.
